Day 1
Plongée dans l’histoire
After the historical visit to the Château de Guillaume le Conquérant in the morning, enjoy the afternoon with a horseback ride or catch an equestrian show at the oldest national stud farm.
For the more adventurous, the immersive RustiK park will transport you into a fantastic medieval world.
For the night, the Le Chevalait spot awaits you in the fields behind a long farmhouse by a small body of water. It’s the perfect place to relax after these adventures.
Day 2
Immersion in the marshes
Start your morning with a cultural visit by heading to the Jardins de Brécy, located just a 15-minute drive away. This stunning French garden offers a calming atmosphere, perfect for strolling and soaking in the history of the place. In the afternoon, continue your exploration with a birdwatching session.
Grab your binoculars to explore the surroundings, which are a true paradise for bird enthusiasts. End the day with a delicious dinner at a local farm inn, where you can savor regional products like cider specialties and Camembert cheese.
For the night, the Saint-Samson spot promises a unique experience. Sleep in the heart of nature, facing a stork nest, and let the tranquility of the area cradle you to sleep. In the morning, don’t miss the spectacle of the sunrise illuminating the marshes—a magical moment to kick off your adventure.
Discover the coast and its cliffs.
Take the opportunity to walk to the Vauban Tower of La Hougue, a remnant of the coastal fortifications built by famous military engineer Vauban, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along the way, make a stop on the coast to visit Barfleur, named one of France’s most beautiful villages. Wander around its picturesque harbour, admire the granite houses and soak up its authentic seaside atmosphere. From the harbour, you’ll be able to see the Gatteville Lighthouse, the second tallest lighthouse in France. If you’re brave enough to tackle its 365 steps, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Channel.
Finish your day at the La Chèvrerie camping spot, a wooded site perched above the Vallée des Moulins. Samuel, your passionate host, will give you a warm welcome at his goat farm and share all about his traditional know-how. Don’t miss the chance to taste his delicious cheeses and discover some local specialities.
A night away from it all, truly immersed in nature and rural traditions, soothed by the sound of nature and the calm of the countryside. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a different world!
