Day 3

Discover the coast and its cliffs.

Take the opportunity to walk to the Vauban Tower of La Hougue, a remnant of the coastal fortifications built by famous military engineer Vauban, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 
 
Along the way, make a stop on the coast to visit Barfleur, named one of France’s most beautiful villages. Wander around its picturesque harbour, admire the granite houses and soak up its authentic seaside atmosphere. From the harbour, you’ll be able to see the Gatteville Lighthouse, the second tallest lighthouse in France. If you’re brave enough to tackle its 365 steps, you’ll be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view of the Channel. 

Finish your day at the La Chèvrerie camping spot, a wooded site perched above the Vallée des Moulins. Samuel, your passionate host, will give you a warm welcome at his goat farm and share all about his traditional know-how.
