“TRAVELLERS” refers to the persons present at the booked SPOT in the context of a STAY.Â
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE
HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS offers SPOTS in natural environments for hire for temporary use on touring holidays.
The SPOTS are unspoilt spaces in the great outdoors. They do not have electricity or toilets (unless otherwise specified in the description of the SPOT in question).
Each SPOT can host a VEHICLE and up to 6 TRAVELLERS. Accepted at the SPOTS are cars, vans up to 6m long, standard and roof tents, and teardrop caravans. Other types of vehicles are not permitted, and motorhomes are expressly prohibited, both due to issues with SPOT access and to keep the SPOTS unspoiled.
The CUSTOMER agrees to treat nature with respect and to leave the place how they found it.
Unless otherwise specified in the description of the SPOT in question, pets are accepted. It is the CUSTOMER’s responsibility to ensure that the site is treated with respect and left clean and tidy, and this includes cleaning up after pets and ensuring that they behave appropriately.
Unaccompanied minors are not accepted.
BOOKING PROCESS
Bookings are made directly on the WEBSITE as follows:Â
- The CUSTOMER visits the WEBSITE;Â
- The CUSTOMER creates a personal account by entering the requested information, which they guarantee to be accurate and truthful;Â
- The CUSTOMER selects the SPOT(S) of their choice and fills their basket;Â
- The CUSTOMER confirms their basket;Â
- The CUSTOMER confirms the order summary;Â
- The CUSTOMER confirms that they have read and accept these GTCS;Â
- The CUSTOMER proceeds to payment after having had the opportunity to check the details of their order, including the total price, and to correct any errors before confirming that they accept it.Â
This confirmation implies acceptance of the entirety of these GTCS and constitutes proof of the sales contract.
Following their booking, the CUSTOMER receives a confirmation email containing the details of their STAY.
It is the CUSTOMER’s responsibility to check that the order is correct and to report any errors immediately.
It should be noted that, on the WEBSITE, it is possible for the CUSTOMER to book not just SPOTS but also nights at the campsites of partner ONLYCAMP. When this option is selected, HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS immediately passes on the booking information to ONLYCAMP, and the ONLYCAMP general terms and conditions of sale, available here, apply to the nights concerned.
PRICESÂ Â
HHUTTOPIA BIVOUACS offers a flat per-SPOT rate, depending on the season:
- €30 per SPOT per day in high season (July/August)Â
- €20 per SPOT per day in low season (September to June)Â
Prices include VAT. Tourist tax is payable by the CUSTOMER and is invoiced separately.
PAYMENT TERMS
Payment for the entire STAY is due at the time of booking.
The payment is immediately debited to the CUSTOMER’s bank card following verification of the card details. By providing their card details, the CLIENT authorises HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS to charge the price of their STAY to their card. To this end, the CUSTOMER confirms that they are the holder of the bank card to be debited and that the name appearing on the bank card is theirs.
CONDITIONS OF ACCESS, ARRIVAL & DEPARTUREÂ Â
The SPOT booked is available from midday on the day of arrival and must be vacated by midday on the day of departure.
The maximum duration of a stay at a single SPOT is two consecutive nights to encourage touring-style trips moving from place to place.
In the event that the CUSTOMER cannot access a SPOT they have booked, they can report the problem using the emergency button on the page for the SPOT in question. They must then immediately send photos to HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS showing that it is inaccessible, accompanied by a brief explanatory comment.
Provided that the report is satisfactory, HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS will credit their customer account with the cost of the unused night. This credit, valid for one year, can be used to book another SPOT available nearby or a camping pitch at an ONLYCAMP partner campsite.
MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION OF A STAYÂ
Any request to change dates, SPOTS or destinations is considered a modification of a STAY.
The conditions that apply to modifications and cancellations are as follows:
- Up to 7 days (inclusive) before the arrival date: the CUSTOMER can cancel or modify their STAY free of charge. It should be noted that in the event of a cancellation, the cost of the cancelled STAY will be credited to their customer account. This credit is valid for one year starting from the date of its issue. No refund will be made to the CUSTOMER’s bank account.Â
- From 6 days (inclusive) before the arrival date: no modification or cancellation is possible. The payment for the booking is therefore retained by HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS.Â
SAFETY, USE OF THE SPOTS AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONMENTÂ
The SPOTS are sites in natural environments, with no surveillance and no particular safety measures or equipment.
It is the CUSTOMER’s responsibility to check that the VEHICLE and the equipment used are suitable for the conditions they will face when staying in the outdoors, and to ensure that the activity does not present any danger to any of the TRAVELLERS.
The CUSTOMER agrees to exercise caution and to behave in a way that is respectful to the environment and complies with basic safety rules. Above all, it is imperative that any minors present be supervised constantly and effectively by a responsible adult.
HUTTOPIA BIVOUACS accepts no responsibility for any incident, accident, theft, material damage or physical injury resulting from inappropriate use of a SPOT, imprudent behaviour or a lack of vigilance on the part of the CUSTOMER or one of the TRAVELLERS.
The CUSTOMER must ensure that the SPOT is kept clean and tidy, noise is kept to a reasonable level and plants and wildlife are respected, and they agree to restore the place to the state in which they found it.
